The Lawrence Bicycle Club invites you to attend a Bicycle Friendly Driver program on Tuesday Sept. 12 from noon – 1 p.m. in the Jay Room on the first floor of the Kansas Union, on KU’s main campus. Developed by the city of Fort Collins but shared freely with clubs and organizations across the nation, the program has been adapted for Lawrence audiences by LBC secretary Kirsten Yunuba Stephens. The information is useful for drivers and cyclists, suggesting ways both can make roads safer for everyone who uses them.
The event is part of KU’s Lunch ‘n’ Learn series but is free and open to the public. KU employees who attend can get HealthQuest points for participating.
Mark your calendars for the 48th annual Octoginta ride on Oct. 8, 2017! Expect a great time and (hopefully) great weather with friends and fellow cyclists in Lawrence, Kansas. Registration now available at our Octoginta page.
Join LBC on Saturday, August 19, for a fun family ride! Part of the City of Lawrence summer community ride series, this three-mile ride starts at 10 a.m. in Broken Arrow Park and will follow the Lawrence Loop Trail. Bring the kids and the bikes for a family-friendly ride.
If you would like to help with this ride as a volunteer, please contact LBC at email@example.com.
Lizard 2017 is in the books! Thanks to everyone who participated, either as a rider or a volunteer. LBC is particularly glad to have young participants who took the challenge of doing this ride.
Thanks also to Mike Yoder who took photos of the event. You can download pictures at the LBC Facebook page or at Mike Yoder’s website.
