New members of the Lawrence Bicycle Club Board of Directors are elected each year. For 2021, three new board members are being elected.
Board members serve a three-year term. Officers are selected from the elected board so that officers are voting board members. See the LBC bylaws for additional information. Names of past board members and officers are also available.
The following individuals have been nominated to run for a board position beginning in 2021. Voting ends Sunday January 11. The voting ballot is located below the bios.
Jared Gab was encouraged to join the Lawrence Bicycle Club five years ago. He has always loved riding bicycles. Since recently discovering the fellowship and sport in cycling, Jared loves riding bicycles even more. You may find him leading his three children to the next treat break through town or on a gravel road 50 miles away with a couple of friends that do not know either where they are or how to get home. He has developed a deep appreciation for how great it is to ride bicycles in and around Lawrence, specifically. With a position on the LBC board, he will improve ride planning and communication in ways that focus on engaging everyone in our community. Vote for Jared
Amy Bryant has enjoyed riding a bike since a child. She enjoyed riding with her friends/cousins and exploring her neighborhood. Being on a bike has always made her feel carefree and adventuresome. Nothing has changed as an adult, except now she rides with grown ups and exploring more than her neighborhood on a bike!
Amy has worked for Olathe Health in the IT department as a Cerner clinical informatics analyst for 10 years. She has two children, Madison (25 yrs) and Caleb (21 yrs). Amy has many ties to LBC family and looks forward to having the opportunity to serve on the board to represent LBC and help grow the cycling community.
I started riding in 2003 hoping that cycling would be the form of exercise I wouldn’t get tired of. It was. I stated riding with others 8 or 9 years ago and continue to do so on LBC sponsored rides and rides that aren’t official club rides.
I’m finishing my first 3 year term on the LBC Board of Directors and hope to continue to serve as a Board Member and as the Treasurer.
