Octoginta

Come to Lawrence October 6-7, 2018, to join the Lawrence Bicycle Club and hundreds of other cyclists for the 49th Octoginta, a Midwest fall classic.  This end-of-season ride includes SAGs and support that combine with lovely fall foliage for a ride you’ll never forget.

Routes available below.

Weather-related questions:  Update 6 a.m. 10/7/2018 – Octoginta has been cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions. The weather is not what we ordered, and we’re sorry to have to cancel, but rider safety is paramount.  We don’t want cyclists or volunteers out in a thunderstorm.  We will mail t-shirts to their purchasers.  We hope you’ll come ride with us in 2019 for Octoginta 50.

The Tour de County ride scheduled for Saturday  10/6/2018 is cancelled due to weather.  Rider check-in and t-shirt pickup will still be available in South Park 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. And it looks like we might get a break in the weather for the swap meet – if so, come on down!

As of 10/5/2018, the weather forecast is calling for rain and possibly thunderstorms.  We hope the forecast changes by Sunday (hey, it’s Kansas — the weather can change on a dime!), but if circumstances dictate, events are subject to postponement or cancellation, and there are no refunds because of bad weather.  All announcements will be made on Sunday at South Park, on our Facebook page and via Twitter, and at on the Octoginta page of our website. We will make any weather-related announcements regarding Octoginta by 6 a.m. on Sunday morning.  Weather-related announcements about Tour de County will be made by 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Don’t miss these cycling or cycling-related events when you’re in town:
