Camping is available at a nearby Lonestar Lake County Park and Clinton Lake State Park

Camping at Lone Star Lake Park

RV and tent Campsites are available at Lone Star Lake. These campsites are perfect for Chicken Creek riders! They are just uphill of the Community Building where the ride begins. There are 60 simple, but scenic campsites, many overlooking Lone Star Lake.

20 with electricity - $16/night
40 without electricity - $11/night

Two bath houses with 4 private shower rooms in each

Campsites are first-come, first-served - no reservations. When you arrive at the park, look for the campground host. Wake up in the morning of Tour de Chicken Creek, roll down the hill, grab a coffee and donut. Then Ride.

LONE STAR PARK

Camping and Cabins at Clinton Lake State Park

Clinton Lake State Park, just west of Lawrence offers 368 RV and tent campsites AND seven fully equipped Cabins. Plus, if you are looking for a biking challenge beyond the Chicken Creek gravel and the Octoginta Tarmac, the cabins and camp sites have easy access to the North Shore trails -- 20+ miles of rocky, rooty singletrack.
